Sleepover!

On Friday two weeks ago, Kyle and Dad went to a mens retreat. I was staying at my friend Rebecca's house. I went there after Rebecca finished school. When we got to there house we did some cooking. Rebecca was making banana bead, I was making banana cake and her Mum was making home made paster for Saturday lunch. Her Mum had finished her cooking and our things where in the oven. They where nearly done and we could not wait to eat them!!! One of our other friends, Kandys turned up. She had just moved from campus and was coming back for a sleepover! About 1 minuet after her Mum left the lights started to go on and off. They did that about 5 times when they went off for good. So we where lighting all the candles they had - they had lots of candles!!! We lit them all and we has lots of light. Then we remembered our stuff in the oven...........  It was not cooking anymore......... That was a problem... We decided to not open the oven and the heat that was in there would hopefully keep cooking them. We where going to have haystacks for tea (supper), but since the power was out we decided to just have sandwiches and parfaits. It was really good!! Then we had worship and just sat and talked! After awhile the power came back on!!! It had gone out at about 5:15 and came on at about 9. We liked the candle light so much we left the lights out when the power came back on!!!!  :P Kandys and I where in the same room so when we went to bed we talked for a bit. I had Missy( Kyle's dog!) saying with me. But she liked Kandys' bed better than mine, which was fine by me!!! So she was sleeping in there! Kandys and I where just about asleep when we herd these ears flap together. When I herd them my heart sank...... I was nice and warm in my bed and did not want to get out..... But I got out and took here out side. It was COLD........ I hoped she would not need to go out again!!! But my hope did not come true...... I had to take her out 2 more times. We got out of bed the next morning and got ready to go to church. After church one of the students, Kami came back with us to the Halls for lunch and the afternoon! We had a really good lunch and we all ate too much food!!!! But it was worth it!! We had lots of fun that afternoon playing games and talking! About late afternoon Jo-Ann and Mrs. Lemon came. Jo-Ann was coming for a sleepover with Kandys, Rebecca and me! And Mrs. Lemon was going to say too! We took Kami back to school. When we got back we made tea! We had pizza on naan bread! It was good, and we got to make our own!!! After that we watched a movie! When we finished it Kandys decided that she wanted to watch another one! Since it was her going away sleepover we did!! It was lots of fun. We decided to go to bed after that! Rebecca went right to bed but Jo-Ann came to our room and talked for about an hour! When we all decided that it was time to go to sleep, it was 3:00am!!!!!!! We all slept in for a long time! We got up at 10:30!!!!! We had a really good breakfast. After that we went to school for a piano recital. It was nice! Jo-Ann and Kandys stayed there. We got back to the Halls and did nothing. Then Dad came to pick me up. And Mum had come home from New Zealand so it was good to see her again!!

It had a fun sleepover!!!

Tour!

A few weeks ago, a group of about 45 students from the school went on a tour to get singing training. I was asked to go along to play my cello! I got all ready and went and helped pack the bus. That was a hard job, because we did not have much room and we had lots of stuff! The bus was having a few problems! When you turned it off it would not go. So when we where about to leave we had to jump-start the bus. When we left and we drove for about 5hrs. On the way we had to cross the border in to the USA. We all went into the building and got our passports swiped, and our bus driver took the bus to the other side of the border, the officer made him turn the bus of. When we all came out, we had to some how start the bus. We where there for about 45 minutes. We finally got it going! We got to where we where staying very late. We had training all Thursday and Friday morning. It was lots of playing! When we where ready to leave to our concert, the bus would not go again! We got new batteries and it still would not go. They finally figured out that they had been connected the wrong way. They where under pressure because we where going to a Naval base and where going to get a tour of it and we were running REALLY late for that! We finely got it going and got to the base. We got a mini tour of the base. It was really cool!!! We did our concert and went to bed late! We had to get up at 5:15 so we could be left by 6:30. I thought that was too early, but we had to get to our next concert! We had 2 concerts on Saturday and one on Sunday. On Sunday we left early so we could go shopping! When we got to the shops the bus driver said we had till 12:30 shopping (and it was 11!). So we went to Wal-Mart and where there for longer than we should have been! Then some of us got on the bus and he took us to the mall. On the way to the mall he said that he would see us in 7 minuets! We all where puzzled! We thought that we had an hour and 7 minuets to go shopping in and he just said we had 7!!! We all say "but you said that we could be here till 12:30". He said that he must have said the wrong time and he was sorry and we still only had 7 minuets! So we all jumped of the bus and where off! We all went everywhere! Most of the kids did good shopping in 7 minuets! Kyle and I got 2 things for Mum for her birthday! Then we went to our concert. It was an outdoor one and the wind was blowing really hard and our music was going everywhere! I had a container of bobby bins and I gave them to people! It helped a lot! Because of the wind it was cold! The girls all got cold because we only have three quarter sleeves! The boys where warmer because the had suites on!! On the way home we got pizza! We all got 4 BIG pieces each! I could not eat all mine!!!!  :) It was really good!  I was stuffed!!!! :) We had a good time. It was lots of fun! But it was tiring! I was glad to have my bed back!!! :)

Today when I was doing PE we went for a walk.  Half way through our walk one of the girls asked if we could stop for a minute while she garbed her water bottle. While we where stopped I felt a sharp pain in my finger.  I looked down and saw something on my finger!  I brushed it off and realised that I had been stung by something.  I think it was a Wasp, but not sure!  Any way it HURT!  My finger swelled up and the pain was bad.  I went to the girls dorm and the dean put something on my finger.  It hurt all afternoon. When I went to orchestra I found it hard to play cause of my finger!

The other day one of my friends got stung 3 times!  2 on his cheek and one on his arm, and they where hornets too!  His cheek swelled up.  It looked painful! 

I'm glad I did not get stung that bad!!

About a month ago, one of my friends asked me if I would like to go to a princess party!  I said YES!    We did lots of planning, and getting things for our outfits!  We even made our hats!  The day finally came.  We were all excited!  We went to Kandys's house and she and her Mum did our hair!  When we where ready Mum came and took some photos of us!  Then we got chauffeured up to the Lemons house for the party!  When we got there Ceri was there to take some more photos of us.  We had a 3 course meal!  It was so good.  It was lots of fun!
